NEW YORK, NEW YORK — Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP (AGMB) has announced that Richard L. Blatt has joined the firm’s commercial real estate group as its Senior Counsel. Mr. Blatt has more than 25 years of experience representing both landlords and tenants in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating leases and subleases for office, retail and industrial spaces.

Prior to joining AGMB, Mr. Blatt, of Melville, served as In-House Real Estate Counsel at Sleepy’s. He drafted and negotiated hundreds of retail leases and addressed potential issues that arose in commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Blatt also previously worked at the following law firms: The Parkoff Organization; Camardella & Brown LLC; Lebensfeld, Borker & Sussman, LLP; and Rudd, Rosenberg, Mitofsky & Hollender.

In addition to landlords and tenants, Mr. Blatt has represented investors, developers, businesses and individuals in the acquisition and disposition of office and residential buildings, industrial properties and cooperative and condominium units. He has also worked on behalf of cooperative boards and condominium associations.

Mr. Blatt is admitted to practice in New York. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Duke University in 1984 and his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1987.
