Paralegal – Commercial Real Estate Lending – NYC

AGMB seeks an experienced commercial real estate lending paralegal with 5-7 years of relevant experience. Duties include due diligence, document production, coordination of all aspects of commercial loan closing, and direct contact with clients.

 

Qualified candidates will be tech-savvy team players with excellent communication skills and advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

 

We offer a collegial work environment, generous benefits, compensation commensurate with experience ($65,000-$90,000), and overtime.

 

Experience:

  • At least 5 to 7 years of commercial lending experience
  • Knowledge of foreclosure work is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of real estate transactional work a plus

 

Knowledge of:

  • Entire loan process from receipt of a term sheet to closing to post-closing
  • Drafting and maintaining checklists
  • Drafting loan documents
  • Prepare remote signature packages for borrowers
  • Prepare closing binders for lenders
  • Property due diligence
  • Entity due diligence and knowledge of organizational structure/documents
  • Title review and clearance
  • Survey review and clearance
  • Loan policies and endorsements
  • Assignments, Satisfactions, Releases, etc.
  • Foreclosure litigation work (drafting, e-filing, etc.) a plus
  • CT Corporation’s UCC e-filing system and search/document request portal are a plus
  • E-filing knowledge a plus

 

Skills:

  • Must know how to use Outlook and Word (know how to format, redline, etc.)
  • Must be organized and be able to track multiple files at the same time
  • Be tech savvy and pick up/understand/problem solve new programs
